AFA Special Election in August

The Adjunct Faculty Association Executive Council (AFAEC) voted on May 30^th to conduct a special election in August to fill the three campus representative vacancies (Elgin, Highland, Cypress) from the 2019 AFA election held in April.  Please review the Association bylaws for responsibilities of the campus representatives and other pertinent information.  The compensation for serving as a campus representative for next year is expected to be about $2388.  An adjunct does not have to teach at the campus to run for the representative position for that campus.  If you wish to be a candidate for any of the three positions in the special election, please submit a statement of intent, including the prioritized preferences of the campus you would like to serve, to the AFA president Samantha Ackers at [email protected], before August 2^nd, 2019.
