WDWK 2451 Cabinet Making II

Prerequisite: WDWK 1413 Cabinet Making I or instructor approval.

Advanced skills in machine woodworking and hand craftsmanship. Emphasizes advanced design and door and drawer construction, laminate installation.

Students work as a team to read plans and build a set of custom kitchen cabinets, including base cabinets, upper cabinets and a separate pantry. They transport them to a building site (usually a building the Conventional Interior Finish class has completed), and install them.

  • 13-16oz. smooth faced hammer
  • combination square
  • tape measure
  • personal protective equipment  (eye, ear, dust)
