Round Rock Campus additions proposed in two phases

ACC’s Office of Facilities & Construction is proposing that Round Rock Campus development occur in two phases starting with construction of a new 45,286-square-foot building followed by renovation of existing facilities. The proposal was presented at a campus steering committee meeting Thursday, January 21.

The new building is scheduled to open in summer 2018, with phase II renovations to be completed by fall 2018. When both phases are complete, the campus will feature:

  • A 12,085-square-foot ACCelerator/Learning Lab with 200 specially-equipped computer stations.
  • Increased capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 students.
  • 13 additional classrooms.
  • 25 additional faculty offices.
  • Expanded and improved student services areas.
  • Additional nursing simulation space and sonography patient bays.

The plan is pending review by the ACC president/CEO and executive vice president/provost, with construction set to begin March 2017.
