The Culinary Arts Department awards 2 – $1,000 Scholarships each award period (Spring & Fall) for current Culinary and Pastry Arts Students who meet the following criteria:
● Culinary Arts major.
● Have at least a 3.0 GPA as a first-time, former, or current ACC student.
● Include a 1000 word essay that answers the question, “Do you feel that community service
should be taught in the culinary arts program and why?”
●Financial need (as determined by ACC Financial Aid Office).
Deadline for applications are November 1st (Spring) and April 1st (Fall) of each year.
Students must complete the General Application located with in the Culinary Arts/Baking & Pastry Scholarship page. Note: your culinary essay must be attached to the application.
The James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program helps aspiring culinary students realize their dreams by supporting them on a path to success in the rewarding world of the hospitality industry. Professional grants enable those already working in the industry to gain experience and hone their skills.
With the support of the American Academy of Chefs (AAC), ACF offers educational scholarships to high school students, college students, professional chefs looking to further their education or become certified and student culinary teams currently competing at ACF regional and national conferences.
The Austin Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International offers scholarships for local women who are pursuing full-time culinary coursework in a culinary arts program for professional development. The amount given for each scholarship is $4,000. Two scholarships will be awarded. Learn more about the scholarship program here.
