ACC named top transfer college in state
According to a recent ranking by successfulstudent.org, a student resource website. “Classes at ACC are maximally flexible for busy students,” the report states. ACC maintains partnerships and articulation agreements with dozens of universities statewide and nationally, and also hosts university transfer events throughout the year.

 

Spring registration is now open.
The spring semester starts January 16.

Enjoy a performance by ACC Jazz Ensemble, Grammy-winning Redd Volkaert, and activities including karaoke. Purchase tickets ($10 each, limit of 2) by Mon., Dec. 4.

 

Spread joy through holiday giving
The Holiday Food Drive for Central Texas Food Bank, sponsored by ACC’s American Society for Engineering Education student chapter, is underway. Look for collection bins on campus or make a monetary donation online. The Student Government Association also is hosting its annual Brown Santa Book Drive. Bins are located on campus.

 

Leadership award nominations open, due Nov. 20
Nominate a stellar colleague for an ACC Leadership Award. Each year ACC awards one “employee of the year” in each of the following categories: Classified, Professional-Technical, Faculty, and Administrator, and celebrates them at an Annual Spring Awards Dinner.

 

Submit proposals for Spring Development Day
Presentation proposals are accepted for Spring Development Day (Jan. 12). Submit presentations for workshops that pertain to areas of student success, faculty development, active and collaborative learning, customer service, equity and cultural competence, technology utilization, leadership, staff development and supervisory skills development by Nov. 29.

 

ACC hosts information sessions for IT accelerated training program
Interested in becoming a local area network administrator? Attend Nov. 16 or Nov. 28.

 

Submit proposals for Equity Summit multi-person presentations
The ACC Office of Equity and Inclusion is accepting multi-person breakout presentation proposals from faculty, staff, students, and members of the community for the 2018

 

Regional Equity Summit, Feb. 9-10, 2018 at Eastview Campus. This year’s theme is
Engaging, Equipping and Empowering Communities for Equity and Inclusion. Proposals may be submitted electronically through Fri., Dec. 15, 2017.
