Senate Standard 3.2
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our survey last week to gauge faculty opinion on the September 13th return to campus.  Detailed survey data will be presented at the Faculty Senate meeting tomorrow.  The results were concordant with sentiments I have heard anecdotally from our faculty; the votes for and against return were essentially even and the opinions were expressed with similar conviction. Faculty on both sides of the issue raised excellent points about community safety and student success, and we included them both in our offerings to the administration.  I am pleased to say Faculty Senate leadership was included throughout the decision-making process and the survey data was presented directly to the Chancellor and executive administration. If you did not contribute to last week’s survey, don’t fret. All full-time faculty will have subsequent opportunities to give input as we strive to safely and effectively teach during this pandemic.
As always, until next time, stay safe!~SamanthaSamantha Croft, Ph.D.[email protected]
