Litzy – Elgin General Store Scholarship Recipient
Being a first generation high school graduate and college student in a Hispanic household is such a big accomplishment that I am blessed taking a part of. Not only was I the first high school graduate in my family, but I also graduated in the top 7% of my class at Elgin High School, did sports all four years of high school, and worked a part time job. ACC is the best place to start the road to my future career of nursing. Not only is ACC affordable for me to be able to pay on my own, but it is also convenient since I am still a part time worker at a local restaurant in Elgin. I intend to get my bachelor’s degree in nursing to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. Upon receiving my bachelor’s degree, I would like to work in the Austin area to stay close to my family and my hometown. Thank you again for this amazing opportunity!
