RNSG 2402: Theory

  • When: Begins on May 20 th and meets Mondays and Tuesdays, 8 – 11:40 a.m
    • Calendar: Calendar and module schedule posted in Blackboard.
    • NOTE: this course is 11 weeks and begins one week ahead of the regular summer semester for ACC.
    • Tentative date for the Mobility Completion Ceremony is Fri, Aug 2nd (time/location TBA)
  • Where: Eastview campus Room TBD
  • Dosage Calculation Exam:  All students will be required to pass a Dosage Calculation Exam at the beginning of the course.

RNSG 2263: Clinical

  • Orientation: Date and time TBA by clinical instructors.
  • When: Begins on May 20 th. All activities in the clinical course have mandatory attendance. Dates, time, & locations TBA. Clinical will be held in all 16 weeks of the course, either on-campus or in the hospital setting.
    • NOTE: this course is 11 weeks and begins one week ahead of the regular summer semester for ACC.
  • What to wear: Clinical uniform as defined in handbook including teal scrubs, closed-toed shoes, ACC ID badge
  • Where: Varies, may be held at Eastview campus, Highland campus, & hospital settings as assigned.
  • Schedule: Clinical days and hours vary but are usually held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. Times are assigned by clinical instructor and may be a 12-hour shift on one day or 6-8 hour shifts over 2 days which may include both day and evening hours. Assignments & schedule will be given to students the week before classes begin.
    • Pediatric rotation at Dell Children’s Medical Center
    • Obstetric rotation – various hospital sites
    • Med/Surg simulations at Eastview or Highland campus
  • Mastery Skills Check-off: Each semester students will be required to pass a comprehensive Mastery Skills Check-off to show competency in skills learned previously in RNSG 1140. This will take place at the beginning of the course. You must pass the competency checkoff by the third attempt to continue in the program. Please see the Clinical Nursing Skills Performance Mastery Checklists for more information about these skills.
  • Notes: All students must complete all clinical requisites listed on the Clinical Clearance Requirements by deadline to attend clinical. Failure to do so will result in withdrawal from the program.

RNSG 2121: Professional Nursing Leadership and Management

  • Important Dates: RNSG 2121 will meet for 5 weeks during the summer semester, check course schedule for dates.
