Orientation

  • When: Monday, June 3, 2019, 9 – 10:30 a.m. (followed by resume/research project help lab)
  • Where: RRC Room 3336
  • What to bring: Signed syllabus release form for RNSG 2121 (available on Blackboard), copy of class calendar, copies of grading rubrics for Resume and Cover Letter, Case Studies Project, and Research Project.

  • Evolve Apply Online Case Studies (This should have been purchased in Level 1. If you have not yet purchased this, instructions will be provided at orientation.)
  • Nursing Practice Act, Nursing Peer Review Act, Nurse Licensure Compact, and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Compact (available free of charge from the Texas Board of Nursing at this link).

Clinical Schedule

No clinical is required for this course.

Recommendations for Success

  • Utilize class communication system (peer study group/Blackboard Discussion Board) to share/review Learning Guides, modules, clarify concepts and content prior to date stated on calendar.
  • Check Announcements on Blackboard at least several times a week.
  • Keep email address in Blackboard current.
  • Participate in Discussion Board on Blackboard; be an active learner.
