Yolanda

I graduated in 1978 from Rio Hondo High School in South Texas. I came to Austin to attend the University of Texas, but left in 1980 for personal reasons. I came back in 1986, got married and had three children who are now 21, 19 and 14. They are my inspiration. After so many years of emphasizing to them the importance of education, I realized that I needed to show them with actions, so I decided to re-enroll. I am now taking core classes at ACC and will also take classes at UT Austin, working toward a degree in bilingual education and maybe psychology. ACC is making it possible for me to take classes at a lower price that will ultimately make my time working toward a degree much shorter. The people here are great and the classes are awesome! I am ACC.
