Congratulations and welcome to the exciting world of International Business. Whether you’re just beginning your college career, expanding your education or looking to grow your business globally; The International Business Institute has the right classes to meet your all of your educational needs.
Now that you’ve chosen the exciting path of International Business you must decide which course method is right for you. Listed below is a series of steps designed to assist you in getting started toward a career in International Business.
Step 1 Which path is right for me, College Credit or Continuing Education?
College credit classes are goal oriented, in other words credit courses are designed for students working toward a degree or certificate. CE (Continuing Education) classes are for students looking to expand their knowledge of the subject matter but are not necessarily looking to earn a degree or a certificate.
College credit students proceed to step 2, Continuing Education students proceed to step 5.
Step 2 Students pursuing a degree or certificate should first apply for admission with ACC. This can be done by visiting any campus or going online to the Destination ACC page. If you have a degree from another college or university you can have your transcripts evaluated through admissions and records to see if any previous course work can be accepted toward the International Business AAS Degree or Certificate. International or foreign transcripts must be translated prior to submission to admission and records by a certified translator.
Step 3 Should I pursue the International AAS Degree or Certificate?
The International Business Certificate is designed for students currently employed in the field of international business or who have completed college-level work in another field and want to acquire specialized skills in international business.
The International Business Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree is designed for students who currently do not have a degree or any previous work experience in International Business. The International Business AAS degree provides students the technical skills for entry-level positions as specialists in exporting and importing for the significant and growing international trade community.
Step 4 Once you have completed the admission process you’re ready to register for classes. Unsure of which classes to take first? Check out our certificate and AAS degree plan or contact our office for advising at 512-223-3710 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
