General Purpose: Provide efficient administrative assistance to members of the Texas Municipal League Affiliate Services Department.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Work individually with members of the Affiliate Services Department.
• Provide administrative assistance to members of the Affiliate Services Department.
• Assist in responding, both orally and in writing, to inquiries from affiliates.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating affiliate educational program opportunities, affiliate membership processes, affiliate board and committee activities, and affiliate administrative services.
• Assist with the editing and writing of affiliate publications, newsletters, brochures, websites, and other communications.
• Assist with research and prepare related reports on assigned subject matter.
• Maintain office supplies.
• Prepare purchase orders.
• Requires basic understanding of budgets. Ability to establish a budget and determine return on investment.
• Requires regular and reliable attendance on the job.
• Requires the ability to work flexible hours.
• Periodic out-of-town and overnight travel required.
• Assists the Affiliate Services Department with such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Experience

Job requires a high-school level of language, math, and reasoning skills. Two years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable or the equivalent of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience with boards, commissions, and committees is desirable. A valid Texas Driver's License is required.
