There are currently nine schools in the KIPP Austin network: four elementary schools, four middle schools and one high school. Job Description:

The Office Coordinator is a member of a small, tight-knit school operations team charged with ensuring school operations meet all state and federal regulations, run flawlessly, and support excellent teaching and learning. The KIPP Austin Office Coordinator is responsible for for creating a welcoming, neat & organized office environment and functions as the primary contact person for all of the school’s stakeholders including students, teachers, families, trustees, donors, and visitors.

Reports to: Assistant Principal of Operations

Duties for the position include, but are not limited to:
--Manages Front Office Operations processes including but not limited to:
--Answering and directing phone calls
--Providing information and appropriate forms
--Preparing and distributing mailings
--Additional administrative tasks
--Welcomes parents & visitors, maintain accurate visitor logs, and respond to visitor & parent requests as appropriate
--Supports the translation of family communications and parent meetings
--Implements and leads parent involvement programs, ensuring engagement from families
--Manages day-to-day student transportation messaging for late buses or busing changes
--Provides basic first aid and medical assistance to students in need
--Assists with day-of logistics of school-wide events
--Supports student recruitment activities to ensure school is fully enrolled by the first day of school
--Builds relationships with and facilitate communication between families, teachers, and school staff
--Collects and tracks uniform, meal, and activity fees

--Must be highly fluent in Spanish
--Office experience, preferably in a school setting
--Excellent computer skills
--Excellent verbal and written skills - in English and Spanish
--Excellent organizational skills
