Description

Wanna Play offers a creative child care solution with drop-in care, flexible preschool, camps and after school care. We provide a safe, fun place for kids to play, learn and socialize.

We are seeking a person who has a natural ability to engage with children, and who displays leadership qualities.

This position serves are the designated person in charge in the absence of the Director or Manager and involves leading a small team of Play Guides/Caregivers. Responsibilities include ensuring child care licensing standards and company quality standards are maintained, handling front desk duties as needed and assisting with the care and supervision of children.

Required Experience

1-2 years experience in a child related program in which responsibilities included supervising and engaging with children.

Customer services and/or retail experience is helpful.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be at least 21 yrs old
* Minimum 2 yrs experience in a licensed child care center, camp or afterschool program.
* Thorough working knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Standards
* Strong math skills
* Prior cash handling experience
* Natural ability to lead people
* Experience working with children of different ages
* Positive outlook and ability to adapt to a changing environment
* Highly responsible and history of good attendance
* Prior experience delivering a high quality service
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Computer proficiency and general office skills, cash handling and attention to detail
* Good physical condition, active lifestyle and the ability to lift 40 lbs
* Has OWN reliable transportation
* Neat, professional appearance
