ACC Business Studies Granted Full Accreditation by National Accrediting Association

The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) recently granted Austin Community College full accreditation for its Associate of Applied Science Degree programs in Business Studies. ACC is the first community college in Texas to gain accreditation by ACBSP.

“This is an example of ACC’s commitment to high standards and quality education,” said Dr. Steve Kinslow, ACC president. “This accreditation will assist in the successful transfer of business credits to four-year institutions for current and future ACC students.”

In its executive summary to ACC, the ACBSP documented numerous strengths, including one regarding ACC full-time and adjunct faculty in Business Studies: The faculty is dedicated, professional and well-qualified. The faculty members are motivated, enthusiastic, and concerned for their students. Their long-term loyalty to the institution is commendable.
