ACC Shines Above the Rest in State CPA Exam, Student/Faculty Interaction

Austin,TX- Austin Community College recently placed No. 6 on a list of the state’s top ten colleges and universities ranked by performance of their graduates on the CPA exam given during the past 12 months. ACC was the only community college on the list. The ranking was determined using a minimum of five students who took sections of the CPA exam during a certain time frame.

ACC was also listed as a top performer in the 2005 Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) when it comes to interaction between students and faculty. The national survey noted that ACC was among the top eight institutions out of 257 surveyed for this area.

Austin Community College is a public, two-year college offering associate degrees and certificates in more than 180 areas at six Central Texas campuses. Serving as the regional leader in workforce training, university transfer and adult access programs, ACC opens its doors each year to more than 65,000 credit and continuing education students who benefit from the College’s great faculty and staff. ACC is the eighth largest community college in the nation, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
