ACC and Texas State University Sign Official Agreement Making Transfer Easier for Students

WHAT: Austin Community College and Texas State University will sign a new articulation agreement in which both institutions agree that coursework in 33 majors is equivalent, making it easier for student to transfer.

WHEN: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005

WHERE: Health Sciences Building Multi-purpose room, at ACC’s Eastview Campus, located at 3401 Webberville Rd.

Background: ACC initially signed an articulation agreement with Texas State (then Southwest Texas State) in 1993. Today’s ceremony will highlight a new updated agreement that includes more courses both institutions consider equivalent.

The new articulation agreement provides ACC students wishing to transfer to Texas State University more course options that will transfer with no loss of credit.
