Wranglers Quarterback Preps for Life After Football at ACC

Most football players spend their offseason relaxing, visiting family and even vacationing. Not John Fitzgerald. He spent the summer taking organic chemistry and structural biology, prerequisites for a new sport, but this time in the medical arena.

“My father and brother are emergency room physicians,” he said. “But I think I’d like to stay involved in sports in some capacity.”

Fitzgerald said he chose to continue his education at ACC because of its easy access and diverse population. “ACC offers multiple locations and online registration was easy,” he said. “ACC is about the students, and I’ve not met a person there on campus that I didn’t like.”

Fitzgerald is returning this fall.
