September 12, 2006 – On Monday, the Austin Community College District Board of Trustees set the FY2007 tax rate at $.0965 ($.0900 for maintenance & operations and $.0065 for debt service). This rate is down 2.6 percent from last year’s adopted tax rate of $.0991.

The adopted rate will increase taxes set aside for maintenance and operations. Due to higher home appraisals, the average taxpayer with a home valued at $100,000 will experience approximately an $8.60 increase in taxes.
