Each year, the Austin Community College Police Department (ACCPD) recognizes police officers, communications officers, safety officers, and their supervisors for actions performed.
This year’s recipient of the ACCPD Life Saving Award is Joanna Weaver, honored for her efforts in an off-campus incident. Weaver joined the college police force in 2004 and works at ACC’s Rio Grande Campus.
