Spring Enrollment the Highest Ever

Austin Community College saw its most successful spring enrollment this year, with 31,148 students registered for classes.

The college has also exceeded its goals for Closing the Gaps, a plan developed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to close educational gaps within Texas by 2015. The revised targets for increasing enrollment were adjusted from 32,705 students to 34,540 by 2010, and 34,596 students to 39,090 by 2015.

Factors contributing to ACC’s success are growth in the Hispanic and Asian population base as well as innovative programs such as College Connection and Early College Start.
