Phi Theta Kappa honor student Ruby Becerra is one of only 20 students selected from more than 500 applicants worldwide to become a Guistwhite Scholar. Guistwhite Scholars are awarded $5,000 scholarships to facilitate the completion of bachelor’s degrees.

Becerra currently holds a 3.81 grade point average and is scheduled to graduate in May with an Associate of Arts Degree in Spanish. She aspires to teach Spanish in a higher educational setting.
