The Austin Community College (ACC) Foundation announces the SEMI Austin Golf Classic recently raised $27,000 for the SEMI Frank Squires Scholarship program at ACC.

The scholarship program benefits students enrolled in courses under ACC’s Electronics Department, such as Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Automation Robotics and Controls Technology, Electronics and Nanotechnology.

SEMI is a global industry association serving companies that provide equipment, materials, and services used to manufacture semiconductors, displays, nano-scaled structures, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and related technologies.

This was the 10th year the ACC Foundation has received proceeds from the golf tournament. To date, more than $190,000 has been raised from this event to support the scholarship program.
