What Is Nanotechnology?

The 2007 Texas Nano Future Statewide Conference will be held August 6 – 8 at the Omni Hotel Downtown, 700 San Jacinto at 8th Street.

The Austin Community College District is hosting the conference in partnership with SEMATECH, the Advanced Technology Development Facility (ATDF), Texas Workforce Commission, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and Skillpoint Alliance. Sessions are designed to teach educators, the public, and the business sector about nanotechnology and will focus on advances in this emerging field.

Participants will also learn about the critical role nanotechnology plays in economic development. Conference attendees will hear from experts, visit with local companies and research facilities, and participate in forums and hands-on workshops. Participants will be provided educational materials to assist in teaching others about nanotechnology.
