Election Teach-In Scheduled for Wednesday

An Election Teach-In will be held Wednesday, February 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Rio Grande Campus lounge.

History Professor Dr. David Lauderback brainstormed with Student Government Association Senate Chair Robert Daley on the Teach-In, which will consist of a question-and-answer format.

“We’re going to talk about the election process in an environment outside of the classroom, so there are no time constraints,” says Daley, who describes the Teach-In as “defining the process, refining our views.”

Moderators are Lauderback, Peck Young of the Center for Public Policy and Political Studies (CPPPS), and Government Professor Karry Evans.

Students, faculty, staff, and the public are welcome to this free event. Sponsors include the Student Government Association, the Office of Student Life, CPPPS, the Department of History and Government, and Gaye Lynn Scott, dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Light refreshments will be served.
