Top that! The Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism, and Meeting and Event Planning Program was awarded the 2008 International Special Event Society CulinART Best Table Top Award this spring. CulinART was held at the University of Texas Alumni Center and highlighted local chefs, event planners, florists, and artists from premier businesses. Designers created elaborate centerpieces to capture the essence of fantasy and involve the senses. Proceeds from the event benefited the Wright House Wellness Center. ACC donated its winning piece to a silent auction held that evening.

ACC Skill CenterPark it here. Construction on the new parking garage at the Rio Grande Campus will begin soon. The parking garage will be located at the northeast corner of Shoal Creek Boulevard and West 12th Street, the current location of the ACC Skill Center. ACC is in the process of relocating the center’s operations, and the building is scheduled for demolition on or about July 21. The new garage will consist of six levels, with 452 parking spaces. The first level will also contain the ACC Bookstore. The garage is expected to be completed for the fall 2009 semester.
