What’s it like to go to college? ACC hosted the second annual “College for a Day” November 14 at the Eastview Campus. The recruitment fair, presented by ACC’s Adult Education Division, was offered to GED and English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Participants were introduced to the college and shown the tools necessary to transition to college life. Seventeen departments from across the college offered hands-on classes, and participants met ACC faculty, staff, and students and received information about financial aid, the admissions process, and degree choices. “We want students to understand what it’s like to attend college and what they will need to do to be prepared for attending college,” says David Borden, executive director of Adult Education.

ACC, spring registration, and you. Registration is well under way for spring classes. After record enrollments this fall, ACC looks forward to another busy semester as the college continues to offer affordable, accessible, and flexible college options. Another weekend college opens at the Cypress Creek Campus this spring, and our alternative length semester programs (5-, 8-, 12-, and 15-week) and our distant learning class enrollments continue to boom. In keeping with the “i am acc” theme, we are all ACC, so spread the word about all we offer the residents of Central Texas.
