What Should Obama Do?

College students play presidential adviser at leadership conference

AUSTIN, Tex., February 13, 2009 –Area college and university students are invited to attend the 2009 Student Leadership Conference on Friday, February 20, at Austin Community College.

Sponsored by ACC Student Life, the conference is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room 8500, Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Road.

Students can participate in a variety of learning experiences and idea exchanges on topics ranging from civic engagement to servant leadership. They also will be invited to play the Presidential Advisor Game, which asks what President Obama should do during his first 100 days in office.

“We’re excited about this year’s conference,” says Cheryl Richard, director of ACC Student Life. “It’s going to be fun, interactive, and an incredible opportunity for students to give advice to President Obama.”

Registration is $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. ACC students can attend free. Lunch will be catered by Freebirds World Burrito.
