Students have more payment options, including online installment plan
Austin Community College is introducing a new online system to expand students’ payment options and reduce long lines at the Campus Cashier Office during registration.
Starting May18, the new payment system allows students to select one of three payment options after completing online registration. They can:
- Pay by credit card;
- Pay by electronic check using their personal checking or savings account; or
- Set up an installment plan that divides tuition into four payments (available in fall and spring only).
Students choosing to pay their tuition in installments will be able to set up a payment plan, make their down payment, and automate future payments using a credit card or bank account – all online. The system uses a secure gateway, so all financial information is protected.
“These new web features will significantly add to the convenience and flexibility of our existing payment processes by allowing ACC’s very busy and mobile student body to transact more business over the web,” says Neil Vickers, associate vice president of budget and finance.
One feature of the new system is the option for students to grant permission for another person to have access to their account. Students may authorize a parent, spouse, employer, etc. to view their financial information and make payments.
When visiting the payment system for the first time, students will need to set up their personal profile. Setting up the profile and keeping it updated will ensure students receive automated communications regarding their account.

The change in ACCid caused me to miss my payment schedule today. The system tells me I need to change my password which I did. When I went to pay on line, it did not accept the new password. NOW…it says the password has expired and I need to enter a new password!!!!
