New online system streamlines tuition payments

Students have more payment options, including online installment plan

AUSTIN, TX, May 27, 2009 – Austin Community College has introduced a new, more convenient payment system just in time for fall registration, which is currently under way for current students and begins June 15 to new students.

The new online payment system expands students’ payment options and promises to reduce lines at the Campus Cashier Office. Students who register for classes online can select one of three payment options for paying their tuition and fees:

• Pay by credit card;

• Pay by electronic check using their personal checking or savings account; or

• Split their tuition into four payments by setting up an installment plan – now available completely online (fall and spring semester only).

“These new web features will significantly add to the convenience and flexibility of our existing payment processes by allowing ACC’s very busy and mobile student body to transact more business over the web,” says Neil Vickers, associate vice president of finance and budget.
