ACC Welcomes Back Faculty, Staff with General Assembly on Friday, August 21

ACC will welcome faculty and staff back for the fall 2009 semester with General Assembly on Friday, August 21. The event includes a State of the College address by President/CEO Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow, workshops, information booths, and service awards. General Assembly also provides faculty and staff an opportunity to network and meet new colleagues prior to the start of the new semester.

All ACC employees are encouraged to attend, and professional development credits are awarded with supervisor approval. The event is free and requires no pre-registration.

General Assembly 2009 will begin at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in the Arboretum. Parking is free and available in front of the hotel as well as in a garage on the south side of the property. The afternoon workshops will be held at Highland Business Center, with overflow parking is available at the nearby Radisson Hotel and Highland Mall.

The day begins with a continental breakfast at the Renaissance from 8 – 9 a.m. Nan McRaven, chair of the Board of Trustees, will start the program at 9 a.m. by welcoming employees and introducing Dr. Kinslow for his State of the College address. Afternoon sessions at Highland Business Center begin at 1:30 p.m.
