The Austin Community College District invites families to the fourth annual Día de la Familia festival on Saturday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverside Campus (1020 Grove Blvd.).
Día de la Familia is free and open to the public. The bilingual, bicultural event celebrates families and the community and provides important information about education. ACC representatives are available to discuss admissions, financial aid, adult education (including ESL and GED), and other college programs and services.
Los Texas Wranglers, recently honored at the Austin Music Awards, will perform live Tejano music. Families will enjoy refreshments and activities, including campus tours and a scholarship drawing.
“We want families to know that ACC can help them reach their personal, professional, and educational goals,” says Dr. Mariano Díaz-Miranda, director of the ACC Latino/Latin American Studies Center (“El Centro”), which is hosting the festival.
For more information, please call El Centro at (512) 223.6361.

This is EXACTLY the thing that I love to see on the ACC homepage- makes me feel great to be a apart of the ACC community.
Hope to see more great outreach projects in the future.
Keep it up!
