Community Invited to Round Rock Campus Dedication on August 27

The Austin Community College District invites you to the dedication of ACC’s eighth comprehensive campus in Round Rock on Friday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. You are strongly urged to carpool to the event.

ACC Round Rock Campus, located at 4400 College Park Drive, officially opens the first day of fall classes (August 23). The August 27 dedication includes a dedication ceremony, refreshments, a time capsule, and a special performance of the ACC Jazz Ensemble. Guests are invited to tour the campus following the event.

The Round Rock Campus “Star Tower” is now complete.

Residents of Round Rock Independent School District joined the ACC District in May 2008, and ACC broke ground on the Round Rock Campus less than a year later, in February 2009. The first phase of construction will accommodate more than 5,000 students and comprises five buildings and about 279,000 square feet. That’s almost a third of the size of the seven existing ACC District campuses combined. Round Rock classes include both transferable core curriculum and workforce education programs including automotive technology, computer science, welding, and health sciences programs, as well as noncredit continuing education classes.
