Retirement Manager has a new look
The log in screens for ACC’s Retirement Manager have a new look, but the site and its services are still the same.  You can access information about your Optional Retirement Program, voluntary tax-sheltered annuity 403(b) and voluntary deferred compensation 457 plans at www.myretirementmanager.com .  In time, Retirement Manager’s redesign will spread to all pages of the site to make it more user friendly and visually appealing.  Please call HR Specialist Kelly Grant at 223-7230 if you have any questions.

Keep Your Beneficiary Designations Updated
ACC employees need to designate beneficiaries with multiple agencies and companies.  These accounts must have a designated beneficiary in order for funds to be released.

All ACC employees should complete an ACC beneficiary form.  Should you pass away while employed, your final paycheck and any eligible unused vacation and/or sick leave will be paid to the beneficiary or beneficiaries on this form.  Complete this form and return it to the HR Benefits office at Highland Business Center.

Adjunct faculty and hourly employees contributing to the Austin Community College Money Purchase Plan need to designate a beneficiary for that retirement account.  Complete the designation form and return it to the HR Benefits office at Highland Business Center.

Employees contributing to Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) can designate a beneficiary for that retirement plan by completing form TRS 11, having it notarized, and mailing it directly to TRS at the address at the top of the form.

Employees with life insurance through Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) can designate beneficiaries online by logging into ERS OnLine.  Once you’ve entered the beneficiary information online, a paper form will be emailed or mailed to you to confirm the designation and return to ERS.  Please call ERS at 867-7711 if you have any difficulty making the designation online.

Please contact any additional retirement vendors you may have accounts with (such as Optional Retirement Program, voluntary tax-sheltered annuity and deferred compensation plans) to ensure your beneficiaries are updated with them.

New Tax Information
Beginning with the 2011 tax year, the Advanced Earned Income Tax Credit is no longer available. Taxpayers who are eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) must wait and claim the credit when the return is prepared.  Please visit the IRS website at www.irs.gov.
