ACC will host a Veteran Round-Up at Round Rock Campus Tuesday, January 25 (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building 2000’s first-floor lobby). The event will explain benefits and opportunities available to veterans and other ACC students.
“ACC is committed to helping veterans make a smooth transition into college,” says Mervin Jones, an ACC counselor and Army veteran. “Acclimating to civilian life and understanding the full spectrum of benefits they’ve earned can be challenging. Hopefully, this event will make the process a little easier.”
The Veteran Round-Up will feature representatives from the Office for Students with Disabilities, the Learning Lab, the ACC veterans club, and community veterans’ organizations (Hope for Heroes, the Texas Workforce Commission’s Texas Veterans Leadership Program, the Travis County Veterans Service Office, the Williamson County Veterans Service Office, and more). Refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by Round Rock Campus Student Services and the ACC Veterans Affairs office. For more information, please contact Jones at (512) 223.0009 or [email protected].

This event was awesome! All the information was great and actually useful. Thanks ACC for continuing to go above and beyond to inform and support us. All except that Army recruiter were professional… Next time put the laptop away! It felt like I was interrupting his Face-book Mobster game.
