Experience music from all genres and cultures as the award-winning ACC Choir Program presents its spring concert, set for 8 p.m. Friday, May 13 (St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Dr.).
“The concert will showcase great music sung by talented ACC students,” says Dr. Jim Shepherd, director of choral and vocal music. “These groups are performing at the highest level of my tenure as choir director at ACC, so it will definitely be a fun concert.”
The choir is drawing its inspiration from music heard around the world, with selections from the Bahamas, Brazil, Russia, Australia, Korea, England, and America. The performance will feature classical music, African-American spirituals, American folk songs, and jazz.
Tickets will be sold at the door. The price is $5 for ACC students, faculty, and staff, and $8 for other adults. For more information, contact Dr. Shepherd at [email protected] or 223.4008.

How do I become a memeber of the ACC choir? I was a U.T. Longhorn Singer back in 1989. I still love to sing.

The ACC Choir and the Austin Choir put on an outstanding performance. It was very evident that Dr. Shepherd has a passion and love for his profession. The variety and creativity of the pieces sung were exceptional.
Congratulations!
