ACC students interested in transferring to a four-year university can obtain valuable information and guidance at a series of upcoming events featuring representatives from a number of schools.

Fall transfer events kick off Friday, September 23, with the University of Texas at Austin Advising Marketplace. ACC students will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with UT representatives and attend Q&A sessions about the application process led by ACC’s Admissions & Records staff.

In addition, more than 35 national, regional, and local universities have registered to participate in ACC Transfer Fairs on Tuesday, September 27 and Wednesday, September 28. Schools represented will include Texas A&M University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Sam Houston State University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and University of Houston-Clear Lake.

“ACC students receive a sound education foundation which makes them highly recruited among our university partners,” says Dr. MaryJane McReynolds, director of ACC’s Office of Articulation and Transfer Resources. “We want to make it easy for students to learn about the many opportunities that are available to them.”

The events will wrap up with the Texas State University Advising Marketplace on Friday, October 7. McReynolds notes that ACC sends the most transfer students to Texas State each fall, with campuses in San Marcos and Round Rock. Students will be able to meet with representatives from all Texas State programs and the school’s financial aid and admissions offices.
