On Labor Day weekend our neighbors in Bastrop suffered the most destructive wildfire outbreak in Texas history. The community is now working to clear the debris and begin the long, hard task of rebuilding. Bastrop needs our help.
Please join the ACC community on Saturday, October 8 as we volunteer to provide hands-on assistance to thousands of residents in need. Help distribute food and supplies or clear damaged properties.
When: Saturday, October 8
First Shift 9a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Second Shift 12:30 – 4.p.m.
Third Shift 4 – 7p.m.
Where: Bastrop Volunteer Reception Center
Sign up as a group or an individual by contacting Dahlia Anzaldua-Torres, 223.7595 or [email protected]. You will receive a free t-shirt and additional information.
- Please designate which shift(s) you wish to work
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. For safety sake, no kids allowed
- You’ll need to provide your own transportation
- Safety and work gear will be provided to those removing debris

Please be sure to register with Americorp so that all volunteer hours will be logged in the federal system. Each hr of volunteer time logged will result in a $ per hr. deduction in the bill Bastrop County residents have to pay (we pay 25% of the total bill). Thanks, Bastrop Volunteer

Hi my names lowell watts and i attend acc in san marcos. i was wanting to volunteer for the debris clean up. i have a truck and can get a trailer also if needed. i need to hear back asap though if i need to bring the trailer or not.
