Adjunct Faculty Invited to Share Ideas at Fall Meeting

All ACC adjunct faculty are invited to take part in an afternoon of learning and fun at the Adjunct Faculty Association’s Fall General Membership meeting on Friday, October 28.

ACC President Dr. Richard Rhodes will be on hand to kick off the event, which will feature a panel discussion, food prepared by ACC’s Culinary Arts Department, prizes, and an “i am acc” photo area.

A panel will discuss ACC’s Student Success Initiative (SSI) and address how adjunct faculty can be a resource as the college seeks innovative approaches to achieving SSI objectives in the classroom. Scheduled panelists are Michael Midgley, vice president of instruction, Dr. Kathleen Christensen, vice president of student support and success systems, Dr. Stephanie Hawley, associate vice president, college access programs, and Tobin Quereau, professor of human development. Soon Merz, vice president of effectiveness and accountability, will present information about SSI’s data information portal (TIPS).

The meeting will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Highland Business Center in Room 201. Attendees can earn two hours of professional development credit. Those planning to attend are asked to register by Friday, October 21. For registration or more information, click here.
