The ACC Drama Department will present Edward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Three Tall Women,” June 14-17 and 21-24at the Rio Grande Campus Gallery Theatre (1212 Rio Grande St., third floor). Performances take place Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

(From left) Gricelda Silva, Peg Patrone, and Katy Smaczniak star in Edward Albee’s “Three Tall Women.”

The play details the trials and disappointments of three contemporary women – how they live, how they love, what they settle for, and how they die. Through the women, each at a different stage of life, Albee examines what it means for individuals to accept the choices they make throughout their lives.

“Today, amid all the Tweets and emails, personal narratives are often relegated to the back shelf. This is a play about a personal story, and the audience will connect with the play’s four complex characters,” says Professor Marcus McQuirter, who is directing the production.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for the public, with proceeds benefiting drama and dance scholarships. For more information or to reserve tickets, email [email protected].
