The hospitality and tourism industries are growing fields in Central Texas. In response to the need for hospitality workers, ACC’s Hospitality Management, Travel & Tourism, and Event and Meeting Planning programs are hosting a career fair Monday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd., Room 8500). The fair is open to all ACC students.

The event will feature representatives from Alamo Drafthouse, SXSW, 3 Ways Events, Hyatt, and other companies. Students can meet with industry associations, and ACC International Studies will share information about study abroad opportunities for hospitality. ACC faculty will discuss the hands-on training available through the college’s programs.

“With the upcoming addition of three downtown hotels, popular festivals, Formula 1 auto racing, and a booming tourism industry, the need for hospitality professionals will continue to increase,” says Michelle Costanzo, department chair. “We want ACC students to be part of this industry growth and get a jump start on their careers.”
