Radio-Television-Film Screens Student Projects May 10

Austin Community College’s Radio-Television-Film Department invites students, employees, and the community to the spring 2013 student showcase, set for Friday, May 10, 6:30-8 p.m. at Northridge Campus (11928 Stonehollow Dr., Building 4000, Lecture Hall 4136). The event is free.

Each semester, the RTF Department selects and screens final projects from the beginning, intermediate, and advanced digital film and television production classes.

The evening will begin with “micro shorts” - projects of 3 minutes or less - written, directed, and crewed by students in the Introduction to TV Technology class. The rest of the night will feature comedic and dramatic commercials and public service announcements from students in the Television Production I classes, as well as split-screen movie reproduction exercises that demonstrate cinematography skills of Lighting for Film and Video students. Other highlights include short digital film projects produced by Film Style Production classes.
