ACC Partners with Adobe to Prepare Students for Workforce

Austin Community College’s Business and Technical Communications Department is partnering with Adobe Systems Inc. to provide students free access to the industry-leading toolkit Adobe Technical Communication Suite as they prepare for the workforce.

“This is a very important tool for our students, because they’ll get hands-on experience using the exact software they’ll likely encounter in their careers,” says David McMurrey, chair of the Business and Technical Communications Department. “This is the leading technology in our field, so this is the best kind of preparation students can have for the future.”

The software donation will allow students and professors to author, enrich, review, manage, and publish interactive technical documents.

“Austin Community College is doing a commendable job of preparing the next generation of technical communicators,” says Saibal Bhattacharjee, senior product marketing manager for Adobe’s Technical Communication line of products. “We’re excited to partner with ACC and offer their students access to this cutting-edge Adobe technology. Hopefully, this will be a competitive advantage for the ACC graduates as they enter their professional careers.”

ACC’s Business and Technical Communications Department offers degrees and certificates in business and government communications, social media communications, and technical communications. Learn more about the program at austincc.edu/info/btc.
