ACCmail issue resolved; password reset may be required

A message from Information Technology –

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday 2,435 staff and faculty email accounts were deauthorized. This was due to a corrupted file used in processing user accounts. Those employees affected will see a message that their email password was changed. To be clear, this was not the result of any kind of malicious attack.

If you are one of the employees affected:

  1. Go to the ACCmail login assistance webpage.
  2. Input your ACCeID and password.
  3. Select your account in the dropdown menu.
  4. Submit
  5. Follow the instructions to reset your password.

No email messages have been lost and once employees have reset their accounts access should be fully restored. If you use a mobile device such as an iPhone or Android phone, or if you use Outlook to access your email, you will have to update your password there as well.
