Applications for German Exchange Program Due Dec. 1

ACC students are invited to apply for the chance to study and work in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX). Applications for the 2014-2015 program are due December 1.

The year-long exchange program is open to students and young professionals in all career fields, but preference is given to students in STEM, agriculture, business, and vocational fields. Participants must be 18-24 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Fellowship participants receive:

• Two months intensive German language training

• One semester of study at a German university or university of applied sciences

• A five-month internship with a German company in the participant’s career field

• Airfare, health insurance, and monthly living expense stipends

Prior German language knowledge is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have clear career goals and some relevant work experience, which could include summer work, part-time jobs, or internships.
