Performers, Volunteers Needed for “Living History Books” Program

Performers and volunteers are needed for the annual Living History Books program celebrating Women’s History Month. The event will be Thursday, March 6, with performances from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Northridge Campus (11928 Stonehollow Dr.).

The Women’s History Committee is looking for performers to bring to life historical figures through readings, speeches, reenactments, and multimedia presentations. The group also needs volunteers to help with costumes and dressing room support, make introductions, assist with staging and lighting, and help host the welcome table.

“This is always a fun and educational event, and we encourage faculty, staff, and students to get involved,” says Melinda Townsel, head librarian at Northridge. “We’ve had a wonderful response in past years, and look forward to continuing the tradition.”
