Connect with Local Leaders at Women in Politics Event

The community is invited to learn from local political figures at the second annual Women in Politics symposium Thursday, March 20, 6 – 8:15 p.m., at ACC’s Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd., Rm. 8500).

“It’s Time for Equal Pay for Equal Work” is the topic of a panel discussion with:

  • Dawna Dukes, Texas state representative
  • Mary Gonzalez, Texas state representative
  • Dr. Betty Hwang, Austin Community College District trustee
  • Samantha Bellows-LeMense, Kyle mayor pro tem

Moderator is Linda Young, ACC special assistant to the president for external affairs.

“This event offers a chance for people to learn from successful local political figures and share ideas about critical issues,” says Peck Young, director of ACC’s Center for Public Policy and Political Studies (CPPPS).
