Learn to Use Technology to Improve Student Engagement at April 18 Faculty Workshops

ACC faculty are invited to learn ways to apply new technology to keep students engaged at three workshops Friday, April 18, at Highland Business Center.

Guest presenter is Corinne Hoisington, professor of information systems technology at Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Hoisington has more than 25 years of teaching experience and has authored more than 12 Shelly Cashman Series books about various computer programs and applications.

The workshops are:

  • “The State of Our Teaching Union is…CHANGE”:Â 9 – 10:30 a.m., Rm. 301.0
  • “Implementing the Seven Principles of Engagement with Free Technologies”: 10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m., Rm. 212
  • “The Mobile Movement- iPad and Beyond”: 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Rm. 411
