Radio-Television-Film Projects to Screen at Marchesa Theatre May 9

ACC’s Radio-Television-Film Department invites the college and community to celebrate 40 years of RTF with Establishing Shots, a special screening of students’ digital film and video projects, on Friday, May 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This culminating semester showcase will screen at the newly renovated Marchesa Hall & Theatre (6226 Middle Fiskville Rd.), across from the new ACC Highland Campus. It is co-sponsored by the Austin Film Society. The screening is free and open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community.

To showcase student work and development, each semester the RTF Department selects projects from across creative production classes, ranging from the beginning “micro-shorts” of Introduction to Television Technology to final short film projects in Film-Style Production.

The Radio-Television-Film Department at Austin Community College prepares students for paths into creative media fields with immersive coursework in screen storytelling, creative digital production, and media studies.

For more information on the screening, visit austincc.edu/rtf and the RTF Facebook page, or contact Christian Raymond, department chair, at [email protected].
