Students enrolling at Austin Community College this fall have a new option for classes: the Highland Campus, opening Aug. 25 at 6001 Airport Boulevard.

Highland Campus will be one of ACC’s largest locations, with capacity to serve 6,000 students. It will be open seven days a week and offer night and weekend classes. It also provides convenient and unparalleled rail and bus access as well as ample parking for students, employees, and visitors.

Broad range of classes

The campus is an ideal location for students looking for transferable core curriculum classes, including those that are in high demand. Core curriculum classes count toward both associate and bachelor’s degrees and prepare students for university transfer.

There also will be a wide selection of developmental education classes. And for developmental math students, there is an exciting new class that’s starting this fall, Developmental Mathematics (MATD 0421), that allows you to complete your requirements in a single class.

Convenient, state-of-art campus

The Highland Campus is located near the junction of Interstate 35 and Highway 290, at the northwest corner of Highland Mall. The site provides plenty of parking and is adjacent to a Capital Metro bus stop and across from the MetroRail stop.

The campus is the home to the ACCelerator, an innovative teaching and learning center with 600+ computer stations for individualized learning and small group sessions.

How to register

Fall registration is under way, and new students can begin registering June 9. The tuition payment deadline is Aug. 1 for students who register now. See important dates and deadlines.
